The Archive is located in San Cristobal de las Casas in the Chiapas highlands at the southeast branch of the national Center for Research and Higher Studies in Social Anthropology (CIESAS Sureste). The center provides space and services to AFI. On the road to San Juan Chamula a yellow sign marks the entrance to CIESAS on the scenic grounds of a former fruit orchard.

To visit us: The Archive is open from 8:00 to 14:00 Monday thru Thursday and is easily accessible by local transportation. Look for the bright blue flag by our entrance next to the library. It is always best to call ahead to check that we are available.
